This is a long page with lots of information.
Travel Insured has two Trip Cancellation plans. One is called the “Worldwide Trip Protector” (WTP) and the other is called the “FlexiPax”.
Round bullet pointThis page has the info for the WTP plan that’s available to all States except MO, NY and WA. See the NY plan here and the WA plan here.
Round bullet pointThe FlexiPax plan’s available to all States except MT, NY and WA and is here.
Round bullet pointResidents of HI, IN, MO and VA have some FlexiPax plan differences. Click here for Hawaii, here for Indiana, here for Missouri or here for Virginia.
This is important: If you are paying any part of your trip with a travel credit from a cancelled trip, your Initial Trip Deposit Date is the date you first paid money on the cancelled trip that created the travel credit. Not the date you used the credit.
Travel Insured plans bought after 1/31/2024 will not cover trips to Afghanistan, Belarus, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Israel (just CFAR), Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Palestine, Russia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen.

Travel Insured’s Cancel for Any Reason:

The Cancel for for Any Reason coverage increases the Travel Insured plan’s price by 44%.

Travel insured will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for the unused, forfeited, prepaid non-refundable Payments or Deposits You paid for Your Trip, when You cancel Your Trip prior to departure for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy, provided the following conditions are met:

If You cancel Your Covered Trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this plan at least fortyeight (48) hours or more before Your Scheduled Departure Date, the Company will reimburse You for seventy-five percent (75%) of the prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable payments or deposits You paid for Your Covered Trip provided:

1) You purchase the Cancel for Any Reason Benefit within the Time Sensitive Period (within 21 days after the date your Initial Payment or Deposit for your Trip); and
2) You insure the full cost of any subsequent arrangements added to Your Trip within 21 days of the date of Your payment for any such subsequent Travel Arrangements; and
3) You cancel Your Trip no later than 48 hours prior to the Scheduled Departure Date of Your Trip.

You can only purchase this benefit at the time the base policy is purchased. Children aren’t free for the Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR). Their price is 3.28% of their trip cost.

This Cancel for Any Reason Benefit does not cover penalties associated with any Travel Arrangements not provided by Retail Travel Supplier or the failure of Retail Travel Supplier to provide the bargained-for Travel Arrangements due to cessation of operations for any reason.

These benefit(s) will not duplicate any other benefits payable under the policy or any coverage(s) attached to the policy.

Travel Insured’s Interruption for Any Reason:

The Interruption for Any Reason coverage increases the Travel Insured plan’s price by 10%.

Travel Insured will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for unused, forfeited prepaid non-refundable Payments or Deposits paid for the Travel Arrangements You purchased for Your Trip, if You interrupt Your Trip 72 or more hours after the actual Scheduled Departure Date for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy, provided the following conditions are met:

1. You purchase the Interruption for Any Reason Benefit within the Time Sensitive Period (within 21 days after the date your Initial Payment or Deposit for your Trip); and
2. You insure the full cost of any subsequent arrangements added to the same Trip within 21 days of the date of Your payments for any subsequent Travel Arrangements;

You can only purchase this benefit at the time the base policy is purchased.

If the above conditions are met, We will reimburse You, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, for the Additional Transportation Cost to:

a) join Your Trip if You must depart after Your Scheduled Departure Date or travel via alternate travel arrangements; or
b) rejoin Your Trip from the point where You interrupted Your Trip to the next scheduled destination; or
c) transport You to Your originally scheduled return or final destination of Your Trip.
This benefit does not cover penalties associated with Travel Arrangements not provided by the Travel Supplier for this Trip and failure of the Travel Supplier to provide the agreed upon arrangements for Your Trip for any reason.

In no event shall the amount reimbursed for Trip Interruption for Any Reason exceed the lesser of the amount You prepaid for Your Trip or the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits.
These benefit(s) will not duplicate any other benefits payable under the policy or any coverage(s) attached to the policy.
