There’s a Total Eclipse of the Moon on February 20, 2008

by Steve Dasseos on February 7, 2008

I like astronomy and anything to do with the Space Program. I was 12 years old when Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Later, on Dec. 7, 1972 I got to go to Florida to see Apollo 17’s night time launch. It was spectacular!

Now, there’s a Total Eclipse of the Moon on February 20, 2008:

The full Moon is going to get totally eclipsed on the night of February 20th, putting on a gorgeous show as it glides through Earth’s shadow. Skywatchers in nearly the entire Western Hemisphere will get an excellent view.
