Do my spouse and I evenly split the expenses or insure our actual out of pocket costs? Gretchen
Hi Gretchen,
You can split the costs on items you’re sharing, but for specific things like airline tickets you need to insure your actual out of pocket costs.
For example, if you’re both flying but one of you has a frequent flyer ticket, then you’ll need to insure the actual out of pocket cost for the person who bought the ticket and $0 for the other person who has the free ticket.
