Dr Bernard Kanka Wants To Give Me $850,000

I got this email with the Subject line “Accept This For Your Past Efort” last week:

Dear friend,

Greetings!

I am very happy to inform you about my success in getting that
fund.Now, I want you to contact my secretary on the information below:

Ask him to send to you the total sum of ($850,000.00) US Dollars in a bank draft, which I kept for your compensation. So contact him immediately on his e-mail or TELEPHONE NUMBER 00229 98539094 (carl.upson@ymail.com) and send him the below information to enable him deliver your bank draftto you.

2.YOUR ADDRESS:_____________
3.TELEPHONE NUMBER:_________
4.OCCUPATION:_______________
5.YOUR COUNTRY._____________
6.SCANNED COPY OF YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE/INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT

Thinking Dr. Bernard Kanka has me confused with someone else, I wrote his secretary at carl.upson@ymail.com from one of my email addresses. Carl wrote back this: “Yes, Dr. Bernard Kanka does want to give you the $850,000.00. Once we get the necessaries, we will send it to you.”

So, I wrote Carl back telling him my passport expired. Carl told me they can still send me the money and he’ll let me know what else they need.

I’ll let you know what happens. I wonder if the $850,000 is income tax free?
