I haven’t flown Delta, but now that Northwest and Delta have merged, I’m sure I’ll be using Delta. Thankfully I wasn’t waiting for a Delta e-ticket confirmation when I got the following email. But, I suspect more that a few people will be tricked into opening the ticket.zip attachment.<\/p>\n

One tip to know if you’re getting a fake \/ dangerous email is to examine the grammar. You can always tell the writer isn’t a native English speaker:<\/p>\n

It verifies that you paid the ticket in full and confirms your right for air travel and luggage transportation by the indicated flight Delta Air Lines.<\/em><\/p>\n

You are guaranteed top-quality services and attention on the part of our benevolent personnel.<\/em><\/p>\n

As promised, here’s that suspicious email:<\/p>\n

\nFrom: “Delta Air Lines”
\nDate: Sun, March 01, 2009 11:44 pm

Thanks for the purchase!<\/p>\n

You will find attached to this letter PASSENGER ITINERARY RECEIPT of your electronic ticket.<\/p>\n

It verifies that you paid the ticket in full and confirms your right for air travel and luggage transportation by the indicated flight Delta Air Lines.<\/p>\n

On board you will be offered:
\n– beverages;
\n– food;
\n– daily press.
\nYou are guaranteed top-quality services and attention on the part of our benevolent personnel.<\/p>\n

We recommend you to print PASSENGER ITINERARY RECEIPT and take it alone to the airport. It will help you to pass control and registration procedures faster.<\/p>\n
