In Feb. 2001 Steve founded and is the President of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.TripInsuranceStore.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TripInsuranceStore.com<\/a>. Steve&#8217;s purpose for this blog is to help you understand travel insurance better.<\/p>\n<p>But before I go any farther, I&#8217;ll tell you what a &#8220;blog&#8221; is. &#8220;Blog&#8221; is a blend of the words for &#8220;web&#8221; and &#8220;log&#8221;. On a blog the entries are written in chronological order, but they are displayed in reverse chronological order. Older entries are archived, too.<\/p>\n<p>Travel insurance is a generic term that includes these things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trip cancellation &#038; interruption insurance<\/li>\n<li>Travel health \/ medical (including emergency evacuation) coverage<\/li>\n<li>Flight accident life insurance (plane crash)<\/li>\n<li>Travel Delay forces you to have additional accommodation expenses<\/li>\n<li>Missed connection<\/li>\n<li>Lost, stolen, damaged or delayed luggage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Something you&#8217;ll notice about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.TripInsuranceStore.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TripInsuranceStore.com<\/a> is that we don&#8217;t offer travel insurance plans from every company. In fact, not even from some better known companies. We only offer plans from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.TripInsuranceStore.com\/5\/trust.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the companies I trust<\/a>. That&#8217;s because I&#8217;m both paranoid (in a healthy way) and skeptical in the beginning about financial \/  insurance company&#8217;s products.<\/p>\n<p>The way I look at it is that buying almost anything is a risk.
