Few people trust insurance companies. For obvious reasons, this discussion’s just about travel insurance. Here’s what we say:<\/p>\n

Buying travel insurance is a risk: You are trading a known certainty (your hard earned money) for an unknown quantity – the promise of the insurance policy doing what it says it will do. This is why we pre-screen our plans.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

People manage the risk of losing money on a trip different ways: (none are right or wrong, they are just choices people make)<\/p>\n

  1. Some people stick with the same insurance company for every trip<\/li>\n
  2. Some self-insure<\/li>\n
  3. Some ignore travel \/ trip \/ cruise insurance altogether<\/li>\n
  4. Some take their agent’s advice<\/li>\n
  5. Some shop around<\/li>\n
  6. Some forget<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In my opinion, getting travel insurance is a personal decision, therefore none of these choices are right or wrong, they are just a matter of personal preference. <\/p>\n
