Usually the caller tells me that they read about it somewhere or that someone they knew did this and it saved them money.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s true that not buying travel insurance will save you money on that purchase. In fact, not buying anything will immediately save you money.<\/p>\n<p>If you take this way of thinking a few more steps, you might be able to convince yourself that instead of spending $5,000 on your next vacation instead of the $6,000 you normally spend means you just saved $1,000!<\/p>\n<p>Like this? If so, you might have a future in government work. Start at your local level and after a few years of being known as a ruthless budget-cutter, you could easily end up in a cushy State or Federal job.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m getting off-track. Here&#8217;s the answer to Randy&#8217;s question:<\/p>\n<p>If you buy insurance on just one of you, the other 2 people will have no coverage of any kind. In other words, if you get hit by a cement truck and have to cancel your trip, you&#8217;ll be just fine.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately the other two people won&#8217;t get any refund of their prepaid and non-refundable trip costs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Subscribe here There are three of us travelling (husband, wife and adult child), but we want to save money on the insurance.
