Thank you, Debbie

Hi Debbie,

If you need to interrupt your trip after it’s started, you make all the arrangements on your own & get reimbursed from the insurance company as part of the claims process after you are home.

For example, you get hit by a cement truck on your trip. Get to a medical facility so there’s proof of the incident (and that you are taken care of). It’s likely that after you get out of the hospital you’ll be coming home early, too.

If you have a change of travel plans after your trip has started, like a bad weather delay causing you to return home a day later, or, if you’re still in the hospital from the cement truck accident, you are still covered by your travel insurance policy until you get home.

On the other hand, if you decide to stay longer or come home early without a covered reason, your travel insurance policy will expire on your original return date.

Along these lines, if your travel dates change before you leave on your trip, call us at 1-888-407-3854. This happens often due to airline schedule changes. It’s immportant for your travel dates to match you policy coverage dates.

Subscribe here If I needed to interrupt my trip due to a covered reason or change my travel plans after my trip has started because of covered reasons, do I make these revised travel arrangements myself and then work out the details and expense with the insurance company afterwards, or do they get involved in […]

[2

post-3471","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-ask-steve-dasseos
["GET
