Sharon<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hi Sharon,<\/p>\n<p>Switching the cruise to a different travel agent doesn&#8217;t necessarily re-set the <a title=\"What date is my initial trip deposit date?\" href=\"https:\/\/tripinsurancestore.com\/initial-trip-deposit-date\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">initial trip deposit date<\/a>. If any of the money you paid previously is either transferred or applied to your new cruise&#8217;s booking, the original deposit date will be the same.<\/p>\n<p>The only way it&#8217;s treated as a new trip with a new deposit date is if you can show documentation that the following is true:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You completely cancelled the first cruise along with all other travel arrangements <strong>and<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You received 100% of your money back from all your travel arrangements as either a credit card credit or in the form of a check made payable to you <strong>and<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Your new trip has different travel dates than the trip you cancelled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Then, sometime after that date you book a new cruise or other trip. If you don&#8217;t book a new cruise or other trip, the travel insurance company will treat it as an adjustment of the original booking and you will not have a new <a title=\"What date is my initial trip deposit date?\" href=\"https:\/\/tripinsurancestore.com\/initial-trip-deposit-date\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">initial trip deposit date<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I hope this made sense.
