Travelex covers Emergency Medical & Emergency Medical Evacuation / Repatriation for your trip up to $500,000 per person for the Travel Plus plan and up to $50,000 per person for the TraveLite plan. These are Primary coverages

The Emergency Medical coverage ends when you reach US soil if you are returned to the USA under the Emergency Medical Transportation coverage

Advance payment will be made to a Hospital, up to a maximum of $5,000, if needed to secure Your admission to a Hospital because of a covered Sickness or Injury which first occurs during the course of the Covered Trip.

The Rental Car CDW / LDW coverage is only valid when "the Rental Vehicle rented through the Travel Supplier with whom You booked Your trip and for which You declined a collision damage waiver" is the vehicle you are covering.

Travelex's waiver of pre-existing conditions and supplier financial default requires you to buy the plan within 21 days of your initial trip deposit date. Read the Evidence of Coverage for complete details.

The maximum pre-existing condition waiver amount for Medical Expense is $30,000 per person for the TraveLite plan & $50,000 per person for the Travel Plus plan.

Both Travelex plans have a 90 day Lookback Period for pre-existing conditions

Emergency Medical and Medical Evacuation / Repatriation is a combined limit per person.

The lowest trip cost you can cover is $0. This means you won't have any trip cancellation, trip interruption, nor pre-existing conditions coverage

Using a $0 trip cost makes the policy effective date the later of 12:01 am of your departure date or 12:01 am of the day after your purchase date.

The TraveLite plan is available to residents of any US State.

The Travel Plus plan is not available to residents of Kansas and New York.

The maximum trip cost you can cover is $30,000 per person with TraveLite or $50,000 per person with Travel Plus

You have a 10 day Free Look Period

Trip interruption is 150% of the covered trip cost.

Travelex's maximum trip length is 180 days.

Children under 16 are covered at no additional cost (except for optional plan add-ons) when accompanied by a covered adult. The children must be a Family Member of the primary insured.

If your travel supplier cancels the covered trip, you are covered up to $150 for the reissue fee charged by the airline for your tickets. You must have covered the entire trip cost of the covered trip including the airfare.

Here's How Travelex's Cancel For Business Reasons Upgrade Works:

If You purchased Your TraveLite or Travel Plus Insurance coverage with Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption and within 21 days from the date You paid the initial deposit on Your Covered Trip, and insured 100% of your prepaid non-refundable trip cost and at the time of purchase included the Business Upgrade, You will receive:

1) Flight Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage of $500,000; and

2) Additional Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption coverage for the following unforeseen business/military reasons:

• Direct involvement in an acquisition or merger by Your/Their employer, provided You/They are an active full-time employee of Your/Their employer at the time of such acquisition or merger;

• Your/Their business location being unsuitable for business during Your Covered Trip by fire, vandalism, burglary or Natural Disaster. Natural Disaster means a disaster resulting from natural causes including flood, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, volcanic eruption or blizzard;

• Other than military, You/They are required to work during Your Covered Trip. Proof such as a notarized statement signed by an officer of Your/Their employer must be provided;

• Revocation of military leave that was granted prior to the purchase of this upgrade, or, military re-assignment after the purchase of this upgrade.

Their, They means Your spouse and/or Your Traveling Companion who has purchased the same Business Upgrade as You have.

Note: For any child to qualify for benefits under the Business Upgrade, coverage must be purchased and paid for each child covered.
