Here's How AIG Travel Guard's Cancel For Any Reason Benefit Works:
You can cancel your Trip for any reason not otherwise covered by the policy and be reimbursed for up to 75% of the prepaid, forfeited, nonrefundable Payments or Deposits you paid for your Trip. You must cancel Your Trip more than two (2) days prior to Your Scheduled Departure Date.
The Cancel For Any Reason benefit's cost is 40% extra for the Travel Guard Protect Assist (Gold) plan and 50% extra for the Travel Guard Cruise, Tour & Travel (Platinum) plan
You must fulfill these requirements to have the Cancel For Any Reason Benefit:
1) Your enrollment form and premium payment is received (or, if mailed, is post-marked) within 14 days of the date your initial deposit/payment for your Trip is received; and
2) You insure all prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions and also insure within 7 days of the payment for those arrangements the cost of any subsequent arrangements (or any other subsequent arrangements not made through your travel agent) added to your Trip; and
3) You are not disabled from travel at the time you pay your premium; and
4) You cancel your Trip more than two (2) days prior to Your Scheduled Departure Date.
Important: If you insure an amount less than your total prepaid trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restriction there will be no coverage available under the Optional Cancel For Any Reason Benefit, if purchased. |
